Current Events

        In addition to participating in Read Across America, our community service project this year is a computer donation project developed by our president.  The organization accepts computers and peripherals from corporations and individuals located in the Stamford area and donates them to students who cannot afford to purchase a computer.  In return, the donor receives a tax receipt.  Once the computers are received, they are rehabilitated by the PC Technician classes so that they are in good working condition.  FBLA members then train students on how to use the word processor and the Internet.   After the student has been trained, the student receives the computer!!!  Hopefully, this project can also reach into the community once all the students at Westhill have been accommodated.

        Take a look at our flier used to advertise this project.  We are receiving a lot of interest from both corporations, parents, and students.

Why not DONATE your old computer?

 Westhill High School’s Future Business Leaders of America – FBLA – a 501C(3) organization, will give you or your company a tax receipt for your working computer and/or printer and then give your computer to students selected according to need.
